HIP HOP
Marc Generoso is a celebrated choreographer, educator, and creative director who has been shaping young dancers in the Greater Vancouver area for over two decades.
With an unmatched passion for storytelling and a flair for theatrics, Marc is known for crafting high-energy choreography that captivates both performers and audiences alike.
From 2006 to 2012, Marc was a beloved faculty member at Richmond Academy of Dance, where his dynamic presence and unique teaching style left a lasting impact on his students. Now, he returns with even more experience, creativity, and inspiration to share.
Marc holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Motion Picture Arts and brings a cinematic lens to his work in the studio — guiding dancers the way a film director works with actors. His classes go beyond movement, encouraging dancers to tap into emotion, intention, and character. His teaching philosophy motivates young artists to find their voice, build confidence, and perform with purpose.
Outside the studio, Marc has worked extensively in the Vancouver film and TV industry as an assistant director. He is also the visionary behind the Dance Video Collection (DVC) — a series of over 30 original dance films spotlighting youth talent and blending choreography with cinematic storytelling.
Marc is thrilled to return to Richmond Academy of Dance, bringing his deep well of professional experience and a renewed passion for inspiring the next generation of performers.
