Originally from Calgary, Makayla Moore is a Vancouver-based performer, choreographer, producer, and educator working across theatre, film, and television.

She began her training at Drewitz Dance Productions before earning her diploma in Musical Theatre from Capilano University. Following graduation, Makayla built a career performing in musical theatre across Canada,  working as both a performer and dance captain with companies including the Arts Club Theatre  Company, Theatre Calgary, Citadel Theatre, Chemainus Theatre Festival, Thousand Islands  Playhouse, Vancouver Opera, and Stage West. She also danced professionally for the Toronto Raptors and performed internationally with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. 

In recent years, Makayla has expanded her work as a choreographer. Most recently, she  choreographed for the hit series Off Campus. Her theatre choreography credits include Dirty  Rotten Scoundrels (Chemainus Theatre Festival), Legally Blonde (Metro Theatre), High School Musical (Align Entertainment) and Elf! (Magnus Theatre). Her film and television choreography  work also includes Upload and Firefly Lane. 

Makayla is also the co-creator and executive producer of the Leo Award-nominated comedy series The Dressing Room @thedressingroom.show, now streaming on OUTtv. Alongside her  professional work, she teaches Theatre Jazz at Harbour Dance Centre and is Co-Director of Musical Theatre Mondays, where she is passionate about helping the next generation of performers develop strong technique, confidence, versatility, and a genuine love of storytelling through movement.
