The Richmond Academy of Dance has become internationally recognized for its outstanding training programs. The Academy pays attention to individuality and its curriculum taught with encouragement and an attention to detail reflects the Academy's aim to ensure students proper development as dancers and as individuals. The professional and motivated teachers are committed to providing the highest possible quality of dance education for all of their students.

Progressive training programs are offered in the arts of classical ballet, modern, body conditioning and Pilates, jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, vocal training with Royal Conservatory examinations and acting, hip hop, body conditioning and Pilates. The year round program offers a complete Children's Division, Professional Division and Senior Professional Program. While the Academy recognizes that all their students may not become professional dancers, it believes in providing an environment in which students are motivated to set their own goals.

Many of the Academy's students are Award winners both at the local and provincial level. Each year several of the Academy's students are accepted by North America's most prestigious dance institutions. To date, graduates of the Academy are dancing with companies such as the Canadian National Ballet, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Les Grands Ballet Canadiennes, Alberta Ballet, Atlantic Ballet, Louisville Ballet and Ballet Jorgen. In addition to instilling the joy of dance in all it's students, the Academy prepares dancers technically and through an abundance of opportunities, for a career with a professional dance company or dance education at a university level.

The Academy is unique in the Lower Mainland in that it not only produces dancers of the highest classical standard, but also the extensive education in modern, contemporary and musical theatre has led its graduates to become Canada’s newest young professionals.
